Take a journey with a professional wine educator into Mendoza wine country and learn all there is to know about the history of the region and how grapes grow.
The "Wine Lovers Small Group" visits three of the most prestigous wineries in Argentina every Tuesday and Friday. Bookings are essentials and are required well in advance for holiday periods.

VIÑA COBOS - MENDEL - MELIPAL
We will begin our tour at Mendel winery where Mariela, who is in charge of hosting and tasting, will tell you about their treasures. Roberto de la Mota, partner and chief winemaker at Mendel, is the son of Raúl de la Mota, who is sometimes said to be Argentina’s “winemaker of the century” , so important was his work in developing quality wine in this country... The best part arrives when we open the tasting room’s door to enjoy their awesome wines: Malbec 2010, 2009 and the Unus 2009.
Next, we will visit Viña Cobos.The wines of Viña Cobos are the result of a shared dream inspired by the passion of Paul Hobbs, one of the world’s most famous winemakers and two partners from a wine-producing culture deeply rooted in European traditions. The inaugural 1999 vintage of Cobos Malbec received the highest score at the time for any Argentinean wine upon release from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate and Wine Spectator.
Finally,the tour takes you to Melipal. The winery is surronded by willow trees, small canals and vineyards with a magnificent view of the Andes mountain range. The tour and tasting lunch at Melipal really highlights Argentina’s love for food and wine. The restaurant is a gorgeous, relaxing place with sweeping views of the vineyards and a fantastic patio alongside their pond. We´ll enjoy a luxurious lunch paired with their superb wines.
