Day 1: Welcome to Mendoza Wine Country

Arrival to Mendoza and airport meet and greet and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure to explore the city.

Day 2: Wine Tasting Day + Harvest Festival

Dive into understanding more of Argentina’s most beloved grape—Malbec. Today explore the different microclimates in the region of Luján de Cuyo to better get to know this grape’s unique expression.

Your first visit will be to Bodega Bonfanti, a boutique winery located in Perdriel, Lujan de Cuyo. Since he was a child, Roberto Bonfanti, son of Italian immigrants, took interest in the cultural works of the vineyards. His passion and dedication throughout the yearscan be appreciated nowadays in his awarded wines.Meet the owners and walk their lovely vineyards as they share their passion for this activity that their predecessors have passed on.

Next, we drop in Bodega Renacer. The winery was built in 2004 and is under the supervision of talented winemakers: the Tuscany-born Alberto Antonini, who is considered as one of the most renowned flying winemakers from Italy, and the Mendocinean Hector Durigutti, who has an extensive knowledge about Malbec and the terroir.

“Winemaking is really quite a simple business”, Baron Philippe de Rothschild likes to tell visitors to his château near Bordeaux. “Only the first 200 years are difficult”. However, in Bodega Renacer, this is a little different: to make the most out of those first 200 years.

For the grand finale, we continue for an insider foodie experience at La Vid, the main restaurant of Bodega Norton. Dishes are inspired from authentic recipes, regional cooking techniques, and the fantastic ingredients. A selection of premium wines complements each course.

At night, be ready to enjoy and live the Grape Harvest Festival, one of the most important popular celebrationsin Mendoza and in the country.  The Harvest is the symbol of the farmers’ work, who receives their prize in fruit for their efforts, which will have new life in the body and the spirit of the good wine.

Day 3: High Mountain tour

It is a must-do tour when visiting Mendoza. The constant presence of high mountain peaks in the far horizon constitutes a great attraction that invites us to enter a world of giants.

Leaving the city along the national highway 7, our scenic drive through the highest mountains in America begins. Following the route that skirts the winding course of the Mendoza’s river, you will leave the countryside behind in order to enter the pre-mountain range area. The first stop will be in Potrerillos, a small mountain town, with weekend residences belonging to the inhabitants of Mendoza. There is also an unbeatable view of the Potrerillos dam which forms a breathtaking artificial lake.

The following section of the route leads to Uspallata, framed by mountainous landscapes with changing colors, filled with various geological formations and many tunnels on the road. The famous film "Seven years in Tibet" was filmed in this valley.

The trip continues towards several other small mountain towns, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, Penitentes, until you reach Puente del Inca, a natural bridge where Las Cuevas river has drilled into the mountains forming this incredible natural attraction. Thermal water emerges from different areas and several pools are being used by the climbers as a free spa! Close to the border, a wonderful viewpoint allows us to see the summit of South America: Aconcagua Mt. The “Sentinel of Stone” (from the Quechua Ackon Cahuak) stands at 6,962 meters (22,841 feet) above sea level, being the highest peak in both the Western and Southern Hemispheres and the Seven Summits in the World.
