The Mendoza Wine Country is world renowned for its exquisite wineries, wines and foods. Let us guide you through the best of what Northern Mendocinian Appellations have to offer and discover their own unique flavor and personality, world-class wines, a bounty of culinary treasures and breath-taking scenery.
In the morning, we set forth on a voyage into the the diversity and vibrancy of authentic Mendocinean cuisine. Our first visit will be to Bodega Domaine St. Diego. Hidden off a country road next to an old ivy-covered church, chime the bell of this tiny garage winery whose owner and winemaker is considered one of the fathers of Mendocino terroir: Ángel Mendoza.
Using their ingenuity and passion, they have transformed and reignited viticulture in this part of Mendoza. Try their hand-crafted wines and pair them with homemade breads, olive oil, walnuts and almonds, while visiting this enchanting place with the family. This is as local as it gets!
Though vineyards dominate much of Mendoza landscape, the local warm climate is spawning another burgeoning industry: olive oil. We´ll visit Pasrai Factory to learn about olive cultivation, harvest, and the artisan methods of olive oil production. We will delight ourselves in olive oil, dry tomatoes and olive pastry.
After this perfect appetizer, we continue to Bodega Ruca Malén where we´ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience. From the foothills of the Andes Mountains, the focus of Ruca Malen is producing wines that speak of the land and their commitment to the environment.There, you will taste their entire wine list, including their famous and iconic "Kinien". The dining room is located inside a glass room in the vineyards with a view of the Andes. The menu is amazing and the courses are universally excellent, with clever taste combinations, great presentation and appropriate wine matching.
On the way back to our hotel, and to top our gourmet tour off, we stop at Bodega Chandon. Internationally well known for its high-end sparkling wines, we´ll raise our glass and drink in honor of the simple things in life that fills us with joy.
