Unlike the other tours offered by Mendoza Holidays, this wine tasting experience takes you to four famous wine estates without taking the traditional guided tour around the winery. From the best known “Estate” cellars to the small family owned “boutique” wineries, we’ll take you off the beaten path and show you a Mendoza wine country few people ever see.
If you love discovering and tasting new wines, then you will be spoiled for this tour. We'll introduce you to the different styles and grape varieties of the region, shatter a few myths and unravel the mysteries of appellation as well as tasting a range of 20 GREAT WINES. Our first stop will be at Bodega Dante Robino . Th is family company, 100% owned by Argentine shareholders , was founded 90 years ago, and it still keeps the same compromise and passion for quality as envisaged by its founders. The vision of the Squassini family is base on history, performance and strong future aspiration.
The next destination is Bodega Kaiken. Just as Kaikenes (wild geese, indigenous to Patagonia) fly over Patagonia, criss-crossing the land between Chile and Argentina, so have Montes Wines crossed over the Andes and into Argentina, with the firm purpose of producing fine wines, resulting from a perfect combination of the exceptional conditions given in the Mendoza area, plus the work of talented professionals, both Chilean and Argentine.
We continue to Bodega Ruca Malén where we´ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience. From the foothills of the Andes Mountains, the focus of Ruca Malen is producing wines that speak of the land and their commitment to the environment.There, you will taste their entire wine list, including their famous and iconic "Kinien". The dining room is located inside a glass room in the vineyards with a view of the Andes. The menu is amazing and the courses are universally excellent, with clever taste combinations, great presentation and appropriate wine matching.
For the grand finale, we drop in Bodega Renacer. The winery was built in 2004 and is under the supervision of talented winemakers: the Tuscany-born Alberto Antonini, who is considered as one of the most renowned flying winemakers from Italy, and the Mendocinean Hector Durigutti, who has an extensive knowledge about Malbec and the terroir.
¨Winemaking is really quite a simple business¨, Baron Philippe de Rothschild likes to tell visitors to his château near Bordeaux. ¨Only the first 200 years are difficult¨. However, in Bodega Renacer, this is a little different: to make the most out of those first 200 years.
