Malbec Experience

Your first visit will be to Bodega Achaval Ferrer, a boutique winery which produces only limited quantities of high quality red wines. A strong passion and shared love for Mendoza´s terrain brought the perfect union of Argentinean and Italian friends to launch their esteemed winery in 1998.

Next, learn about the wine process by tasting Malbec samples from the stainless steel tanks and the oak barrels at Bodega Norton. In 1895, Mr. Edmund James Norton, English engineer,got in Mendoza during the building of the train which would connect our province with Chile. Astonished by the terroir, he planted vines that were brought from France; thereby, giving origin to what was the first winery to be located at the south of Mendoza River. In 2006, the prestigious American magazine, Wine Spectator, proposed Bodega Norton as one of the TOP 20 WINERIES in the world.

Last, but not least, we break for lunch at  Bodega Decero. Relax and make yourself at home. Sip some of our favorite red wines and nosh on appetizers while gazing to the magnificence of the Andes. Dishes are inspired from authentic recipes, regional cooking techniques and fantastic ingredients. A selection of premium wines complements each course. Salud!
